David Bowie, born in London (Brixton) England was a singer songwriter and actor. Beginning his musical career in 1963, his first top 5 hit, “Space Oddity” in July 1969 made him a world star. During the glam rock era in 1972,his flamboyant alter ego Ziggy Stardust was born and very successful in the hit single Starman and album “The rise and fall of Ziggy stardust and the Spiders from Mars” During his career David Bowie kept continuously experimenting with musical styles and visual presentations.
