Led Zeppelin

About Led Zeppelin

English rock band Led Zeppelin was formed in London in 1968 by vocalist Robert Plant, bass/keyboardist John Paul Jones ,guitarist Jimmy Page and drummer John Bonham. Their heavy guitar driven sound was influenced by blues, jazz, country and folk music. Jimmy Page wrote the most of Led Zeppelin’s early music while Robert Plant supplied the lyrics. Later John Paul Jones became more central in the band’s music style which increased the pioneering and experimenting of the music styles they involved with, becoming more psychedelic with lumbering rhythms and memorable guitar riffs. Like the Beatles Led Zeppelin is considered to be one of the most innovative and influential rock bands ever! Bands as Deep Purple, Rush, Black Sabbath, Queen, Megadeath, Aerosmith and even progressive metal bands as Dream Theatre and Tool are influenced by Zeppelin! Writing history with songs as Stairway to Heaven, Whole lotta Love, Immigrant Song, and Dazed and Confused Led Zep proves to be a one of a kind band. In 2008 ,after winning numerous music awards like the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and Greatest albums of all Time  they were described as   the Greatest  Rock and Roll band of all Time.
