Megadeath

About Megadeath

Megadeath is an American heavy metal band formed by Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson in Los Angeles, California in 1983 not long after Mustaine was disbanded from Metallica. In 1985 they released their first album, Killing is my business……and business is Good which was a relatively successful album in the underground metal scene. The band is known for their complex arrangements , fast rhythm sections and lyrical themes of death, war, politics, religion and relationships. Like many other heavy metal bands they also were influenced by bands as Motorhead, Venom, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Sex Pistols and the Ramones. Altogether they made 16 albums ,but  Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction, recorded in the early 90s  brought them public recognition. Megadeath sold over 38 million albums worldwide and is one of the few 80s American metal bands to have achieved such a massive commercial success.
