My Chemical Romance formed  by front man Gerard Way and Matt Pelissier in 2001 is an American rock band. The name of the band was inspired by a book of Irvine Welsh named Ecstacy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance. Their music style is often described as alternative rock, pop punk, emo pop, hard rock and post hard core, although the band calls it just Rock or violent dangerous pop. MCR is heavily influenced by bands as Queen, The Cure, Black Flag, Misfits, Joy Division, Bauhaus and Siouxsie and the Banshees. The big success came after releasing their album The Black Parade in 2006 which was voted  the 20th best album of the year and was certified double platinum in the UK and US.
