About Pantera

Pantera were an American heavy metal band  formed in 1981 in Texas. They are credited for the second wave of thrash metal scene from the late 80ties to the mid 90ties. Being a heavy metal band their style was considered both groove metal and thrash metal and are seen as one of the pioneers of the new wave of American heavy metal. Many other bands like Korn, Slipknot, Limb Bizkit, Hate Breed, Lamb of God and  more are influenced by Pantera. Recording 9 studio albums, considered “Cowboys from Hell” ,”Vulgar Display of Power” and ”Far Beyond Driven” being the best ones, Pantera is one of the biggest influencers for thrash, speed metal bands to this day.
