Rage against the machine is an American band formed in Los Angeles in 1991 being influenced by bands as Led Zeppelin, Red hot chili Peppers ,Iron Maiden, The Police, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Run Dmc, Suicidal Tendencies and many more, they created their own sound known as Rap Funk Metal. The band is known for their left political lyrics and actions on and off stage. Their debut album in 1992, with the hit single “killing in the Name” gave them world fame ,playing all the big festivals and recording 3 more studio albums. Having sold over 16 million albums worldwide, Rage against the machine are ranked no. 33 in the top 100 greatest artists of hard rock.
