The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in 1962 in London by the childhood friends  Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. They started out covering early rock and roll and blues songs being influenced by country, folk, blues, Reggae and psychedelia. Especially artists like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley were a big inspiration. The Stones , like The Beatles, are  the founders of rock music of  today and their influence can’t be measured. Selling over 240 million albums, having held over 48 tours and still are together after 55 years, Rolling stone magazine declared them the most definitional band that rock and roll has produced.
