The Clash were formed in London England in 1976 and were the pioneers of the original British punk rock. They were seen as the biggest contributors to the post-punk and new wave movement and the waking up  of the fusion between a variety of genres like reggae, dub, funk, rockabilly and ska. Their commercial success started with the release of their album The Clash in 1977. London Calling released in 1979,their third album, gave them big popularity in the USA; it was declared the best album of 1980s by Rolling  Stone magazine years later. After the success of the album Combat Rock with the hit single Rock the Casbah a final Album, Cut the Crap was released in 1985. Internal friction led to disbanding the band, although they tried with new members the final end came  in 1985 .
